The Smart Lid creates/promotes safety awareness for hot beverages for
to coffee/tea drinkers and foodservice staff.• The Smart Lid when coupled with corporate colors can add significant brand value and recognition. • Our color changing technology changes from a dark color state to a lighter color state with the introduction of heat. Many color options are possible. • Manufactured with a food grade compliant color-changing additive, when cold, the lid is its dark color state. • When hot, the lid turns red to remind your customer to be careful. • As the drink cools, the color of the lid changes back to the regular starting color. • Your lid is correctly fitted if there is a complete ring around the lid in the dark color and incorrectly fitted if there is a broken ring around the lid. • The color changing lid works in a universal language, COLOR! There are no language or interpretation barriers. |

DETAILS: • The color changing additive meets the requirements of the FDA and EU as they relate to direct food contact, eliminating in house testing. • Warning Rim: Patented sealing indicator, a lid rim showing whether or not your correct sized lid is securely attached properly to the cup. • A FULL RIM IN THE COLD STATE COLOR around the lid, signaling a complete contact between the lid and cup. • NO FULL RIM IN THE COLD STATE COLOR, indicating steam or heat is escaping from the cup. A hot liquid hazard may be imminent. • FULL RIM IN THE HOT STATE COLOR, a lid that is completely in its hot color state warns that the contents are VERY hot and heat transferred has reached all areas of the lid. The lid may be on correctly but the contents are extremely hot. |
